But Brazilian tattoo artist Helena Fernandes is changing that, one terrible tattoo at a time. She has no artistic skill to speak of, but that hasn’t stopped her from opening a successful tattoo shop in her hometown of Salvador de Bahia. Scroll down to see her ugly creations.

I’d not pay regular tattoo money for them…if i’d pay at all.

Some of these are good, but not good enough to be on skin permanently. Someone mentioned temporary tattoos. That would be a good idea 😊

She is doing this on purpose as a form of simplistic art. A person who knew nothing about art, design and form would be all over the place with their drawings, however while hew tattoos seem remedial and simplistic, the art and lineage itself follows simplistic rules of art drawing and form of the most basic…. she knows what she is doing and is marketing herself off of something more in-depth then she lets on. Points to her for creativity!

Some of these are brilliant! Her art may not be to everyone’s tastes, especially in such a permanent form, but to each their own. There are a few of these I’d consider having.

I am a tattoo artist, have been one for 25 years. I have seen a huge paradigm shift in this direction. It’s called free market. I personally am not a fan of this but it’s dictated by the supply and demand market forces. If that’s what people want then so be it.
