Turns Out, UPS Drivers Have a Facebook Group About Dogs They Meet On Their Routes

UPS Dogs is a wholesome Facebook group that documents the canine-loving “big brown truck” drivers who post pictures of the pups they become acquainted with along their delivery schedule.

I have the best driver! Brett is awesome. My girls love him. They hear his truck coming down the road, and they actually get bummed out when he doesn’t pull into the drive way! They also let me know how disappointed they are when he does come to the house and I am not home to let them out to say hello. Merry Christmas Brett!

I love this! You definitely know animal lovers from non animal lovers. I love all animals. Kudos to the drivers that embrace the fur babies they come in contact.

These pics are adorable, but these poor men and women delivering also get greeted by not so loving balls of fur . If your fur family doesn’t like deliveries be kind to them and the drivers and keep them in .

Your posts of employees & dogs made my day. How adorable. When my little guy was still with me ( he passed on two years ago), he couldn’t wait to get hugs from the deliverers. UPS…you have great employees! 🐕🐾

I AM KNOWN AS THE COOKIE LADY, I CARRY DOG COOKIES IN MY CAR AND WHEN I SEE A DOG BEING WALKED, I PULL OVER TO THE CURB AND TELL THE HUMAN, I GOT A BOW WOW MESSAGE FROM THEIR DOG THAT HE NEEDED A TREAT, AND I GIVE THE DOG A DOG COOKIE, AND BONNIE’S DOG ACROSS THE STREET KNOWS MY CAR AND WAITS AT THE CURB FOR HIS TREAT. I DON’T KNOW WHO GETS MORE PLEASURE OUT OF THE TREAT, ME OR THE DOGS.

When we were living in small-town Louisiana, our Catahoula Cur Lacey had a love affair going with our UPS guy. She was locally known as the “RoadKill Queen” and would roam (we lived on 100 acres and she had free reign on all of it. She was a “gift” from someone who had no idea what a terrific dog she was, so they dropped her off at our house). It was not unusual for us to see the UPS guy pulling into our yard to either bring her home, or to give her a belly rub when he was in the area. His truck was the only vehicle other than ours that she would ride in and she would jump in his truck whenever she saw him. She would meet/greet (she had a ‘squall mouth’ and could get loud when she was excited!) him by yelping, then would roll onto her back for her belly rub. She’s crossed the bridge now, but I’ll bet she is still looking for that UPS truck and her boyfriend.

Too cute! The UPS truck now parks above us, and walks the package down. The dog barks, so we know a package has been delivered.

As a USPS employee..We are not allowed to carry dog treats or engage with them. It is a safety issue and if we get injured…We are at fault and will not be covered..

My UPS driver knew our dogs so well. When we lost Zig, Zag was really down. We ended up with two puppies. One day Rollie came to deliver and asked what happened to Zag? She was a happy old dog now? It was Lucy the puppy. She was determined to change Zags attitude. And he brought it to our attention how well the old girl was doing. Love your drivers!

  31. Anonymous December 24, 2019

All the drivers have to literally watch their back here. Tazz is Australian Cattle Dog & has herded & nipped them all.

  32. Anonymous December 24, 2019

Don’t “hate” on the USPS carrier. I love the dogs on my mail route too! If I get caught giving treats out to them, my job is history. So, I don’t give them “to” the dogs, I either give it to the owner or put it in the mailbox!

  33. Beverly December 24, 2019

What a joy to see all of the pets.Thank you for sharing
    Merry Christmas 🎄 to all

  38. Andrea December 26, 2019

I was a USPS carrier in Ma. I had one dog that would wait for me everyday to take them out from behind the fence and take him on the route with me. He’d hop in my truck and go to the next Park point and go up every walkway to the house that I was delivering mail.

  39. Debra Riddle December 26, 2019

Beautiful to see. Wonderful drivers & the dogs who love them. UPS should be proud. Enjoyed this so much from Australia

  41. Anonymous December 27, 2019

i cant never keep my dogs from running to the trucks for a snack, great guys.

  42. Anonymous December 27, 2019

Just curious if anyone knows what happens when the favorite UPS driver that gives these dogs treats retires or gets a different route, when the next UPS driver doesn’t provide treats or is afraid of dogs??? Retired from the Postal Service, I have seen what can happen. If UPS chooses to allow their employees to do this then the consequences is on them. It only takes one time for people to realize the dangers of this habit.

When I was driving I knew more of the dogs names than I did the peoples ! One time a dog got up in my seat and a RPS guy took a picture and posted it with the caption ” Competition is going to the dogs “
