Museum Asks People To Recreate Paintings With Stuff They Can Find at Home, Here Are The Results

Even though most of us are stuck at home during Coronavirus quarantine and can’t go out and enjoy art in museums, that doesn’t mean that life has to be boring or uncultured. The Getty Museum in Los Angeles challenged art fans to post photos of themselves recreating their favorite works of art from the safety of their homes. People responded with a lot of enthusiasm and flooded social media with their unique artistic interpretations. Scroll down to see the best examples!

We challenge you to recreate a work of art with objects (and people) in your home.

  3. Thank you for the wide/great emotional and coloured inspirations, with the respect of the original chef d’oeuvres of the artists; I do like so much, the fun of the cards’s players, the fidelity-mystery of the Christ, the lady on the sofa, either than the Medieval Couple and the Arlequin, the smoker as well… yes, it is a very nice discovery (sorry for my English my motherlangage is… French spoken… It is Wise, curious, inspirating ! recreating ! :)

  10. Very creative recreations, but not sure why they chose the Van Gogh (The Scream), very disappointed in that one…looked sloppy, quickly put together and doesn’t at all “recreate” the original.
