Bajramovic, who learned to read in prison was actually quite famous and toured once even USA. What do they say about judging a book by the cover.

Use to live there in early 70s. Loved all six little nations mushed together. Tito did a great job keeping the peace.

    The titles are cool too!
“Imam nesto ale nedam” – I have something, but won’t share it.
“Ne moze nam niko nista” – No one can do anything to us
“Bracna veza teza od poreza” – Marriage is heavier than tax.
“Ove noci jedna zena mirno spava” – This night only one girl is sleeping well.
“Ja sam ranjen kao ptica” – I’m wounded like a bird.

What a bunch of peasants. It’s like the gene pool for this bunch ran dry and they had to borrow from cattle 😂

This is back from when actual musicians made music. It must be jolting for people who are used to only models making music.

Out of curiosity, I actually youtubed allot of these musicians, and their covers just don’t do them justice.

But nowadays almost all female ex-yu singers look like top models… lot of plastic surgery though

if they are funny , just look at the Americans at that decade – hear dressers are war criminals … costume designers too … Freddy Mercury looked just like some of them .
still – golden age without mobile phones and people were talking and stuf ..not scroling

Love all the comments and as funny as these album covers look, most (if not all) are/were extremely talented musicians. During my childhood visits to multiple Jugoslavijan music stores I had the honor of meeting some of them. As an American born, I love my Jugoslav heritage and love my Jugoslav music!!

  24. Anonymous April 30, 2019

Pusti neka svetla gore — translates to Let it light up. So apparently Leo was Lit before it was a thing!

Album covers as bad as some you find in the U.S.!

These are marvellous. A lot of the weirdess is the hair styles, of course. And you could find the equivalent in 60s, 70s and 80s bands in North America, although the photography and layout would probably be a little more professional. But there’s some of it that has an interesting cultural-specific quality to it.

In 40 years, people will look at albums or music clips of our time and probably have the same feelings. Different times, different cultures, different countries. Anyway, this was a good laugh!
