    Apple was cool, now it’s only the fancy schmanzy shopping brand.

    In the past the MacBook Pro and the MacPro were top notch in terms of functionality and performance, while being pricy but still acceptably more pricey for the extras you received. Like the aluminium body when all competition offered plastic… Or the matte screen that was good enough for professional graphic design.

    Now…. It’s just expensive crap. By switching to ARM, even though Jobs initiated the switch from power pc to intel, the mac systems now can’t run windows anymore on a second partition….
    Instead they cost like tenfold now in comparison to their actual performance.
    The MacPro, once starting at like 2500$ now starts at 8000$. Looking at its performance, you can get an alienware tower with more than twice the performance for less than half that price.
    And don’t get started at repairability….
