I never realized how smart pigeons were. When I park my car in my lot, the same three pigeons, two small ones and one big one, come down for their food. They know my presents and even when I come out of my front door they come from nowhere and will follow me until I throw them some cat food. People are complaining about pigeons. There are more things in life to complain about then an innocent animal

After being shot twice and losing its leg, Cher Ami continued on to deliver its message telling the allied forces the location of the “lost battalion” in the Argonne forest, saving almost 200 american soldiers from being shelled to death by allied mortars.
And helped the allies ultimately win the war.
Cher Ami died shortly after delivering its message. It was given the french croix de guarre with palm and the medal of bravery for animals. Along with the gold medal for racing pigeons. It died in its owners care at fort Monmouth in New Jersey and it is on display at the Smithsonian Museum of American History.

Do y’all know that humans domesticated and then abandoned them??? That’s why they don’t have good survival instincts. Humans moved them from their original locations, and because of HUMANS again(agriculture) they had to migrate. Now because of overpopulation they rely on our waste and get sick :( pigeons are so smart and lovely I love them so much…

Pigeons are the sweetest adorable bird, they’re the best parents I learned. In Chicago, IL many hate them and they have laws not to feed them and put black species of type birds to attack them along with the Hawk.😔I really love them I use to buy a big bag of feed then sneak to feed them. I had to move and where I live now in a home and have my own backyard where I feed Mourning Doves without the threat of getting a ticket. How could the bird of peace be hated, but, in Chicago yes calling the flying rats😆some people are just selfish and 👿

Feral pigeons are foul vermin and there needs to be widespread reductions in their numbers worldwide – a ban on feeding them would be a good start.
I have just this minute taken a baby wood pigeon (that must have fell out of its nest) to a lovely lady that helps all birds and l have been told it has a good chance of survival which l am so happy about. It was so cute (not ugly at all) every living creature deserves a chance in this world even if some people do think they are ugly and vermin. We have humans just like that in this world to!!!!
