I did work in a lab for a couple years, and, real or not, I would not be surprised if these are 100% true.
i worked in physical science for 15 years. yes, good scientists can be painfully honest. but science, you see, costs money. so there is a small number of scientists-turned-managers who will “color” the truth in order to edge out other scientists for funding, or to keep it flowing in their direction.
