When Modern Love Meets Classic Comic Books…

Peter Nidzgorski is the artist provocateur behind the site This Isn’t Happiness. Under the name Peteski, he blogs about art, photography, design, and disappointment. One of the big attractions of his site is his clever manipulation of images like these altered panels from classic love story comic books. Nidzgorski asks his followers to suggest sentences or quotes which he then adds to a specific panel. His theme is modern love. Or rather a satirical take on the shallow, fickle, empty sex, selfie-obsessed and self-destructive nature of modern love, which is probably something most people can relate to.

Just thought to echo “Anonymous” of June 9th, A. D. 2019 and say “Thanks.”

But these cartoon panels spoke the current human condition so well and humorously that my current plan is to quote a famous musician : “Thank-you very much.”

Modern ‘reflectives’ on perhaps bygone, emotions! Aptly described!
few days ago just b4 Christmas, my young niece who, stays abroad came home wz her BF…i guess the lad got little swayed wz d atmosphere & wanted 2b lil’ cozy, if i may say so…I suddenly overheard my niece saying out loud …”what the hell?!…it’s Christmas ok, but tht doesn’t mean i hv to commit on being together next year!…just live today…have you seen tomorrow??!…”
I must say i was somewhat sad to hear tht coming from my own niece …then realised TIME has moved on with its share of associated values! Just a thought! Here’s to fresh new decade ahead!
