Even though most of us are stuck at home during Coronavirus quarantine and can’t go out and enjoy art in museums, that doesn’t mean that life has to be boring or uncultured. The Getty Museum in Los Angeles challenged art fans to post photos of themselves recreating their favorite works of art from the safety of their homes. People responded with a lot of enthusiasm and flooded social media with their unique artistic interpretations. Scroll down to see the best examples!

Last one is very cute
these must have taken so long to make extremely creative
this is the funny is thing
Loved them!!!!
We need to have a good time, especially now. Had one looking at these. Seeing how others had a good time creating. Showing their “re-artion” to the originals was FUN as well. Good going “onliners”! Thanks
I love them and keep up with the work it is nice.
These are great!
Just love them all. Great innovation.
Can’t stop laughing!
“The Scream” is not by Van Gogh – the artist is Edward Munch. Otherwise I agree – the copy is not up to par, especially compared with the brilliantly executed copies!
Disagree with RMV……”The Scream”. Is brilliant….IF you look hard enough. The little wooden house and oven gloves say it all.
The very best though , is the start…..”the marriage”
I can tell I’m getting depressed, but thank you for sharing these!
To RMV: FYI, the artist of The Scream is Edvard Munch, not Van Gogh. It may not recreate the original but it represents it fabulously. The essence is there, the directions of the lines, colors, etc are all there. And the face made of the house and oven mitts was super clever and spot on.
very very very very very very very very very very very very very VERY nice. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!! We need fun and entertainment in these tragic times and remember. STAY HOME Stop THE SPREAD AND SAVE LIVES.
These are funny EXCEPT for the religious paintings. Those were STUPID.

Thank God for people! It’s the only way we’ll get through this. I’m still giggling
I real hoot. Loved this
Too funny. The lady with the grapes by her ears made me LOL.
Dislike the religious one, disrespectful…..
LOL
Great fun ! Everyone made a real effort. Thanks for the laugh in this dark time,
OMG i am cracking up
The one with the young girl sitting outside of the principals office was an inspiration for Forrest Gump when Mrs. Gump was talking to the School principal.
What talent and creativity! I love them all but to me the two most creative were the horse made from clothing standing on Trader Joe’s bags and the Modern Rome buildings made from dark bottles and an LA cap on top of a colander. The Simpsons added a classy touch
OMG those made me laugh so hard.Great job everyone
These were very creative and my favorite was of the girl sitting outside the principals’s office. Lol!
Brilliant….
Blue stickies, bucket, grapes, cheese, what a hoot!
