Untrue! My cats Love being complimented! I call them handsome and beautiful. They absolutely respond. Rolling on their backs, purring and jumping up for head bumps.
If I am away from the house for an extra bit of time, they give me the whiny whine. Just like a kid.

My cats respond too. My boy creekers rolls on his back and reaches for me. And cheena my girl perks up and starts purring :) Those are just some mean ass cats in the examples here lol

Animals crack me up! I love them so much! Dogs are so eager to please and cats aren’t people pleasing animals at all.

Cats are too smart- they know when people are being condescending. I love both, but find my cats attitudes are more like people. How would you react if someone told you are a good boy?

You have to earn a cat’s respect. Dogs give it away freely.

“I like dogs too, and they’re smarter. If only they didn’t stink (even after a bath).”

Primitive dogs don’t stink, in fact they hardly smell at all. Apprently quite a few terriers don’t smell either.

This is pretty hilarious, especially since I did not get it at first. Primarily, I am a dog person but I like cats, too — however, to whomever originally posted this, I appreciate its sense of humor.

Cats do not appreciate anything. Good.

I have both a cat & dog and they both react – my cat purrs away and rolls over onto her back to give me her belly and my dog wags and wags her tail.
