They all look like urban or suburban squirrels. My rural guys look nothing like this. Of course they have to be able to run, leap, and climb to avoid getting eaten by the hawks that live out here.

Crikey, isn’t it enough for Americans to be obese themselves, with obese kids and obese household pets? Now they are spreading the fat-assery to wild animals. Ah well, any one of those squirrels would be a prize for a coyote, owl, hawk, or bobcat.
