  1. I’m sure this was very expensive to have done & absolutely not good for your Fur baby. More money than sense for sure!!!
As most everyone else has stated: CATS NEES THEIR FUR TO REGULATE BODY TEMPERATURE!

  2. One Cat Owner stated, she has to have her Kitty sedated, by her Vet, mind you to have her Kitty’s hair cut.
If having is Kitty’s hair cut requires sedation, then how could this be anything but traumatic for your Kitty!
Please Groomers refuse to do this & inform their owners how important fur is for any cat!

  5. Not that I would do it, I wouldn’t. But what is your cat is strictly indoor (mine is) and very well taken care of. I would never allow any of my animals to be carved into.

  6. Don’t do that to cats. Their beauty is in their care of it not yours. That is just wrong!

  7. Not a single one of those poor creatures looks in the least bit comfortable or content. Not only are the owners thoughtless, those using the clippers should be ashamed of themselves.

  8. My cat throws up from all the fur he has this would be great! He wouldn’t suffer anymore prolly not this style but a trim would be great for him.

  9. As a groomer of 20 yrs, people need to figure out how,or more, take the time to brush their long-haired cats. But,if,for whatever reason, they cant, then u probably shouldn’t have gotten one,but now that he’s here,he’s better off shaved than matted solid, and better off than homeless or put down.and Dino cut,,omg.but, hey,if he’s gotta be shaved, than at least he’s stylish.lol.

  10. No way ! I just had my male ginger shaved this past week; because here in Louisiana it is hot most of the year, but really hot summers. He is a big cat about 18 pounds, and he has trouble grooming his back, so he gets knots and he won’t let me get them out. He loves it and prances around like a peacock when he first comes home. He is a long hair, beautiful and fluffy, but he likes being shaved during hot months,

  11. I think the look on the cats faces tells the answer to this question. They all look embarrassed, shamed, or mad as hell.

  12. STUPID, STUPID are the humans who do this to pets … they are only thinking of themselves and their ego in need of attention, deranged attention … too bad for those humans and too bad for the pets.

  13. I think it’s adorable… why not? Cats can have special cuts too! Gives then a different look.. it’s not hurting them. I love it!

  14. I think if you have a cat that requires a shave every so often due to clumping because they refuse to get groomed easily that would require sedation then maybe! Everyone is always so judgmental and has their in a bunch! What about cats that live in warmer climates and no air conditioning! Geez people!

  15. I think these cat haircuts are awlful! Do groomers not have anything better to do. You & your customers should be ashamed of yourselves.

  16. My cat was always sitting in cold places. Guess what? Cut her hair and now she’s happily running around all the time. I’m a cat mom and I know when she’s pleased. Cutting their hair when it’s hot and they are indoors cats is totally okz

  18. This is perfectly fine to do if you have an indoor cat. It doesn’t hurt them. If not having tons of fur were bad for cats, then the furless breeds wouldn’t exist. Some cats lose their fur naturally and it doesn’t kill them. Too many but jobs in these comments need to take a chill pill, you’ve clearly been in quarantine for too long…

  19. I’m not a cat person, but cats are just fine the way they are. You don’t need to STYLE your cat just to get likes .

  20. Cats do not enjoy being shaved! As someone who has shaved dogs they don’t like it either. The sound of the clippers cause some animals to have a near melt down. Animals sensitivity to sound make them bad candidates for haircuts. Dogs can become accustomed to haircuts if started young ( cats nope). They do look adorable but this is purely for human entertainment. Sedation has the risk of death. People who do not get their long haired kittens use to brushing often resort to having them shaved as adults for matting reasons. Proper brushing will remove undercoat for summer. Long haired cats were bred for human vanity only, so they do need your help , DAILY.
When that hair grows in ,the itchiness must be unbearable . Cats skin is as tender as an infants. Please consider the animals feelings. Cats look cute dressed in doll clothes too but it’s cruel .

  21. I take good care of my animals. I have one cat that can not groom himself. I brush him regularly and he eats good food. He gets mats and clumps because he tries to groom during shedding months. It is hot here is CA. My Willy is like a new cat after his yearly shave. He is so happy. We do not sedate him. He sits on the table and purrs away. I can see how comfortable he is afterward as he struts around. Kinda feel like you people saying otherwise are absurd.

  22. As a groomer who shaves multiple matted and pelted cats. Leaving this little bit of the fur doesn’t take any extra time and the cats have to be shaved anyway. Very few cats that come in to be shaved are because the owner always wants to shave their cat. Majority of them are matted beyond saving. You educate eople but in the end it’s their cat and their choice. I shave my personal cats to practice cuts and il tell you they don’t care at all.
