Do chickens LIKE being in tu-tus??

  3. Anonymous July 11, 2019

This will confuse the heck out of the hawks. You should use something shiny in them.

  4. Anonymous July 12, 2019

Why do none of the chickens looks happy about wearing tutus??

  5. Frinzy July 12, 2019

They look happy enough to me, otherwise they would run about like crazy, and indeed it might confuse predators…

  6. Susan Hines July 12, 2019

    LOVE IT

  7. Anonymous July 12, 2019

They’re cute, but it’s not fair to treat chickens that way!

  8. Anonymous July 12, 2019

Lighten up, it’s a chicken in a tutu, not a kid in shackles

  9. Michelle July 12, 2019

I think they’re adorable. Lighten up people. I’m sure they don’t leave tutu’s on their chickens very long.

My daughter dressed up her chickens for the poultry costume contest at the fair every year and no I don’t think they mind much. Her chickens have been flamingos, Smaug, cowboys, and I can’t remember the rest. All they care about is food and dust baths and they are good to go.

To the lady who said they don’t look happy they have beaks so they can’t smile. They look happy enough to me. They are all plump and well taken care of that is the definition of happy to a chicken.

  12. Anonymous July 12, 2019

Maybe the one complaining is internalizing?

  13. Anonymous July 13, 2019

Good clean fun 😍 Chickens do not look stressed at all 👌

  14. Anonymous July 14, 2019

    Too too cute

  19. Anonymous July 14, 2019

I bet the tutu makes them look bigger and helps them go up the pecking order

  20. Flopsycat July 14, 2019

I think they look a whole lot happier in a tutu than they would be in a Cordon Bleu.

  21. Anonymous July 15, 2019

I thought maybe it would detour the foxs and coyotes.

  22. Barb Loves Chickens too July 15, 2019

    😂

  23. Fred July 16, 2019

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the chickens — pretty sure they don’t have the slightest idea what’s going on.

  24. Wyld July 18, 2019

Better to be dressed up n happy…then be eaten..lol…🌻

  25. 501Lucy August 5, 2019

Does it make the chicken taste better?

  26. Bev Ross August 7, 2019

I notice you gave Fresh Eggs Daily credit for her photos. The first photo you feature with the buff orpington in the rainbow tutu is mine @rossroostfarm. A ton of the photos are from @thimbleworks.

Don’t worry about the chickens. If they didn’t like it they would peck your eyes out. They are sweet, but feisty!!!

  29. Anonymous August 9, 2019

Oh man. This made my day. Chickens in tutus. Brilliant, adorable and harmless, I’m sure. There’s Bree on FB who wears a diaper in the house and is so handsome.

  30. Anonymous August 12, 2019

How do they get the tutu on the chicken?

  31. Anonymous August 16, 2019

How do they get the tutus on the chickens?

    Very, very carefully.

  32. Anonymous August 18, 2019

  37. Anonymous October 15, 2019

A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and these girls are kicking it.

  38. Jan October 15, 2019

Yeah, it’s ok to dress dogs and kitties up, why not Chickens too? They are so unappreciated for their beauty❤

  39. Crazy chicken lady October 17, 2019

I have 2 PET chickens rescued from horrid farms. I think this is just cruel for Mans pleasure. One of my girls has a Pendulous crop. I made her a Bra to help support it and shes hates it. I also made a chicken nappy for when they are in side..again they hate it. Why do people dress up their animals? dogs? cats? now chickens? all for the pleasure of humans. Let your fur/feather babies be who they are. stop trying to make them into something else. Humans have a choice to put on ridiculous outfits.. animals don’t and they DONT LIKE IT!

  40. Crazy chicken lady October 17, 2019

I will add. If this was a 1 time photo shoot only, that’s fine, its cute funny.. but not a regular thing as it stresses the chickens.. stress KILLS chickens.. its uncomfortable, pushes their feather/quills in wrong direction with is extremely painful for them *like the idiots who put a lacky band in their head feathers to make it look like a pony tail*. To love your feather babies, give them what they love. GOOD FOOD WATER MEDICATION IF THEY ARE UNWELL FREE RANGE FOR BUGS AND SUN BATHS AND LOVE

  41. Howie & Kathy October 27, 2019

We own several there is nothing wrong with it u are an ignorant crazy chicken lady it harms them not. And any chicken owner would not leave them on . Very funny I think I’ll dress up ours for Halloween Adorable !!!!!!!!!!!

  42. Anonymous October 28, 2019

These chickens are just fine in their tutu. Most of them looked like they had no idea they were dressed up. I would rather see them withtutus on than to see their necks being broken to be eaten.

  43. Anon chicken lady February 18, 2020

I’m sure it’s temporary and not bothering the hen. If it was the hen would be dancing around trying to fight to get it off like they do if you put on pinless peepers or a no-crow collar on a roo. Sometimes birds have to wear harnesses or something called a “saddle” if the other birds are pulling feathers off another bird lower on the totem pole. The tutu is mild in comparison. -those hens look fine.
