  1. Jesus this is what passes as comedy now? Its like someone took the yawn-inducing banality of The Far Side and mixed it with low IQ political takes of late night TV hosts. Hell, none of this was even clever. What a milquetoast attempt at humor. I bet you get offended by old TV commercials.

  2. Damn Jim, you’re wound up tighter than a banjo string. Humor is not solely obsequious to you. Relax little fella.

  3. “I bet you get offended by old TV commercials”: this is mid tier rare insult, kind of deluxe – on a par with truffles, what’s the etiquette – do I upvote or downvote?

  5. Dammit Jim,
I’m a cartoonist, not a comedian! But hey, good job on using ‘milquetoast’ in a sentence (in this century, even).

  6. I’ll be honest. I didn’t find any of these funny. But I know that everyone has different humor. My humor is dark and focuses on stuff that’s actually happened to me. Though that’s just half of my humor. The other half is just silly dad jokes I make up with my dad. I’m not even a dad, heck I’m a women!

  7. It’s worse than that.
Your sense of humor is dead, Jim.

I used really common and short words for you. Banal, no. Simple, yes.

All of these were clever. Many were hilarious. These are what I would expect to see and have seen in The New Yorker.

Jim, go back and take a look through these again with a bit more of an open mind.

Have a merry/happy/blessed upcoming holiday of your particular preference. Yes, might actually be an idea for a cartoon.

  8. I did like the “Meeting Zone — Non-Meeting Zone” — gotta admit … been there, done that!

  9. Well, they all made sense, though the cat thinking, thinking about sitting on God’s throne was particularly good.🐱. 🐸🫏
