So This Artist Makes Taxidermy Animal Drones…

You can find a lot of strange things on the internet, but a dead cat turned into a remote-control flying helicopter may be the strangest yet. The cat helicopter was conceived by Dutch artist Bart Jansen, was the first taxidermy drone he created. Turns out it was Jansen’s own cat who was killed by a car in 2012, so Jansen “decided to pay tribute to his lost life by giving him a new one. An electronic one. It would allow him to continue partaking in his favorite activity: bird stalking.”

After the dead cat drone, Bart Jensen proceeded to create an ostrich copter, “I thought it was really funny to make fly a bird that can’t fly,” he told people who tried to understand WHY. Geez, there’s that European humour for you.

Obviously, the next logic step was to create a dead rat drone:

Finally, Bart Jansen turned a taxidermy shark into a SharkJet…

  1. I’d like to see a drone made out of Bart Jansen. Where is Pickman in real life when you need him?

  2. The catcopter is old news. There was a lot of negative pushback then. Did not know he was still active. The dead animal does not mind, why should onlookers be bothered?

  3. Yeah, I see no evidence of any psychopathic traits being displayed here at all.
“Doktor Mengele, vhat vould happen if ve made vone of ze tvins into ein Hubschrauber?”
“Brilliant idea! But ve must first test it on animals to make sure it is safe.”
Ze V1 Rakenheifisch ist sure looking proooomising!
@NotAnonymous: suggesting that the person behind this be flayed and mounted makes you no better than the object of your hate (maybe even worse).

  4. Back to Albrecht’s comment, wasn’t this how sieges were broken during the Dark Ages? The invading army would heave dead diseased corpses over the defending army’s walls into the city to infect the population. This seems like a good way to weaponize germs for the modern age.

  5. Wow . . . Nerds gone sadist and Wild. These guys must have got bullied bad at school hahaha. Sad

  6. Gary, seeing your comment does not make me think you’re cooler than them. Just makes you seem pathetically desperate to look that way.

  7. I need one ho much o well pay anything for the shark one but I need a fleet of them to invade my neighbors back yard

  8. The cat one is funny. The rest aren’t. I once had a gf who I told her cat didn’t truly love her. We broke up shortly after. Too bad she’s not into drones.

  9. I just had this done to my belived “Percy” I was so devastated. NOW he can fly & be free!! Anyone who is OFFENDED by this and TYPING? Needs a spanking..This is geeat!

  10. Hello,
Do not type your name into the department because even if it is not your real ID, it can still be clearly identified.
    Thank You

  11. imagine, for a moment, being a living cat and seeing one of these fly over. “whoa, how do you do that?!?!?!”
