In Poland, People Are Roleplaying as Americans, Here Are The Best Photos

In Poland, there is a LARP group @4thofJulyLarp that roleplays as contemporary Americans. They just come together and show off their most American-ish outfits and act out various scenarios that they imagine would happen in the USA. It’s brilliant. Real Americans, please let us know in the comments if they got it right!

  1. I think these photos are kind of opposite. It’s this group that supports the police. It’s the inner city leftist groups that burn and loot and hold up the f the police signs.

  2. Hahahah that’s awesome but you’re talking about the white Americans or so called in the south. Americans are all kinds of color and sizes. They forgot the fast food sized Americans hahahaha

  3. There are no bullshit free zones in the US because free speech. Also, not enough guns. Lastly, the police look really shabby and not wearing matching shirts and pants.

As for this only being the south, I disagree. You can find people like this all over the country,

  4. As an Idaho native, my only criticism is the exteriors of your buildings are far too pristine. I could send you some tumbleweed seed for next year . . . also the flags are too new. right-wing Americans (of which I am not) love to display flags that look like they’ve been in a bullring.

  5. Everyone’s worse nightmare. I live in Massachusetts near Boston. You can find this, but only if you look 👀 really far & hard outside the city. These are the people that need to secede and make their own autocrat society.

  6. Just want to apologize for all the Polish jokes back in the day… You Polish people showed the world how to overthrow communism, SOLIDARITY. And thank you for caring for your besieged Ukrainian neighbors. And yes, America is currently home to some of the dimmest bulbs in the universe, but the entire nation is not Texass. Some places have people even dumber than Texans. I’m not certain we have hit rock bottom yet, but I hope we are getting close. God Bless Poland

  7. Don’t agree with many comments here about the south. I’ve traveled a lot, lived in different countries and I traveled all over the USA, it was the best experience. The southern states were the most interesting for me. There is darkness in America but there is also light. Every place has their positives and negatives. Any extreme is bad the extreme left is equally bad. Working class country folks no matter where you go have a more conservative way of life naturally, and it’s important. America is crazy but it’s beautiful too. The older I get the more I appreciate it. I like that they did this it looks fun.

  9. They portrayed Southern Republicans in their pics. It’d be interesting to see how they see the rest of the World.

  10. Really great work all around. My overall critique is that it’s a little too manicured and missing a level of raw trashiness.

Y’all need to drink a 40oz of malt liquour, think about the healthcare you dont have, and make some compulsive, awful, cathartic choices to deal with the stress.

    Again, great work.

  11. People who claim that this is southern right wing are clueless idiots who only know what CNN tells them.

  14. This isn’t just the south, this depicts pockets of people all over the US. Also…not fat enough. The US is a surprisingly fat country.

  15. Certainly not the America I have lived in growing up. But definitely the “America” that will make itself open to outside terrorist attacks and the people that will cause the fall of this democratic nation into an autocratic authoritarian dictatorship. It’s quite alarming

  16. It’s funny to how such a weak and small nation thinks they can mock America. The Germans took your country it the blink of an eye in ww2. The United States of America 🇺🇸 is the country that gave you your county back. You think your smarter than use because you use the metric system. We went to the moon and mars with the imperial and metric system, yep we know to use both not just one. How many wars has Poland one? How many times have they been to space? If you don’t like it you should sanction us. You should sanction us with your powerful military. Oh, wait….you don’t have a military 🤣🤣😝 dumb ass pollocks.

  17. Fair and accurate. Except that more guns should be evident. And signs and shirts should be dizplayed showing your eternal, everlasting, infinite, undying, perpetual, and unabating support for the Second Amendment. Maybe some shirts depicting Jesus holding an AR-15. And maybe a few of you might want to carry an AR-15 strapped around you while wearing camo outfits… Because, you know, AR-15s are great to use for hunting and it’s uber manly and masculine to be a hunter and hunt “deer” and “elk”, etc. (and nobody will ever suspect you could have a gay bone in your body too).

Also a few of you might want to openly smoke (faux/mock) methamphetamine since many lowlifes oops sorry I mean common, usual Americans enjoy doing that.

    Otherwise, a very good job.

  18. Looks like people are having a good time LARPing; that’s excellent.

I wonder if they have a collection of American recipes to use. I think that would be lots of fun.

One note: the American flag is always displayed with the stars in the upper left corner.

    Thanks — this is fascinating!

  20. p.s. The “No Bullshit Zone” is brilliant! I can totally see one of my ornery compatriots putting up a sign like that.

  22. #1 – The picture is tagged 4 July, so it is a hot part of the year. Thus there would be no sense in tucking in the loosely fitting under shirt into the pants, as that would be heat trapping. It would be left loose and draped over the belt and upper pants.
Also flannel shirts are not summer attire unless you live in the Pacific North West where flannel shirts might be worn year round on every day. (Its a cultural thing not a logical dressing thing).
Lastly, it is rare these days to see anyone wearing a wrist watch. Cell phones have taken up the time keeping task for almost everyone.
Otherwise pretty good for a young white man of rural residence.

  23. #2 – This is a profoundly ambiguous picture as you can’t tell the role of the person rearmost in the photograph. It is EXTREMELY problematic that he is there. He’s holding an object which could be used as a club and he has deliberately taken up a blind spot behind someone who is presumably authorized to make an arrest. Any law enforcement training program would have drilled into this badge wearer’s head that this is precisely how police officers get killed – by being law about people close to them that put him in a dangerous state, such as in his blind spot and holding a potential weapon. Clearing up just what that rearmost person’s role is is imperative.

By the way, the mere presence of a FIVE pointed star doesn’t assure us that he is a duly authorized member of law enforcement making an arrest, as private security guards are permitted to make arrests in many states and they are allowed to wear five pointed stars – so long as it is not confusingly similar to a SIX pointed star which is reserved for duly authorized governmental law enforcement person – such as a deputy sheriff.)

Too many problems here to be authentic.

  24. #4 Perhaps authentic to some extent.

Most people who display the American flag OUTSIDE do so by means of a flag staff, perhaps resting in a hardware notch meant to hold it, often at a 45 degree angle. Displaying a flag in this manner outside is not authentic, but putting it up INSIDE the window and hanging down just like that is extremely common (for INSIDE display).

The man sitting at the table looks authentic, as does the outside table.

It is unusual for people to put up signs that seem to be protest parade signs in a yard like this, but not impossible.
Signage posted on lawns tends to be professionally printed and distributed to supporters.

  25. #5 – Authentic for an URBAN dwelling young man, but not for a rural resident. It seems to be rural area with all those forest like impressions around the subject. Also a dinky short barreled pistol like that is fine if you must conceal it and you only need it to make a big bang and hurtful impact on someone VERY close to you, perhaps even in arms length combat. No rural dweller would bother with a pistol which has such limited potential for use that you basically have to allow the person to get very close to you before you can be sure you are aimed right. A full length barrel is authentic for a rural person.

  26. #6 Problematic. You see one person who has “colors” on his back, usually indicative of outlaw motorcycle gang membership. Surprisingly a lot of proprietors will not allow this in their place of business and are NOT afraid to call the cops if they don’t leave after being told the “no colors rule”. Biker gangs know the police will show up in just as large a number as they feel is needed and will probably make some arrests. This means the police take into custody some motorcycles, and this means they may discover the concealed drugs that are somewhere in many such motorcycles. That is how biker gangs have funded their never ending pub crawls and such – drug trafficking, and it goes back the middle of the last century.

Some people reason that a gang like this showing up in small settlements is too terrifying, and point to newspaper reports about this kind of behavior as something surprising and unmanageable. It is sensationalistic nonsense. Biker gangs that show up in remote places and are allowed by the proprietor to wear their colors have a previous understanding with the proprietor or bartender of the place. They will guarantee to drink a large enough amount of beer and pay for it that is worthwhile to allow them to basically take over the place for a few days. Keeping the mortgage paid and lights on is easier if you have guaranteed business. So biker gangs showing up in remote places is a matter of prior arrangement, not a sudden appearance of dangerous hordes out to terrorize the countryside.

Anyhow, casual colors wearing in a place not seemingly devoted to biker gangs – not authentic.

  27. I’d like to see them do a “creepy joe” themed one. You know, trying to put a jacket on, ride a bike, eat ice cream….you know, the little things. Oh, and is there no diversity in Poland? Where are the blacks, Latinos, and Asians? Seems like a bunch of racists here that don’t want to include people not like them.
