That hissing booth picture has been around for years. It’s not something that came from 2020’s quarantine. I doubt the majority of these are built from quarantine boredom.

The misused image is of little significance itself. But it certainly says something about the author and the website. Credibility is something people obviously don’t care about enough in general which has had dire consequences.

Covid-Karen, what dire consequences? You mean people might actually laugh?

Of course, laughing must be banned unless it’s about a conservative dying.

    Fantastic thread btw!

  33. Kimberly Reed November 28, 2020

Wish I could add a picture as I look at the fort my neighbor built within the last month for his cats but since they didn’t have room for it, It’s now in my house lol

  35. Anonymous November 28, 2020

Cat Forts illustrate the difference between cats and dogs. Dogs don’t get it!

  36. Anonymous November 28, 2020

I think the person above saying “dire consequences” was referring to people (in general) not paying attention to sources/context, believing what they see/read at face value without concerning themselves with the validity of the information.

Obviously, in a fun post about cat forts, it is of little/no consequence…

But, expanded to other areas certainly does have dire consequences.

My kitties have had several pretty awesome cardboard cat forts over the years lol, now I’m tempted to do another… with all my online deliveries for christmas we should have quite a stockpile to work with!

  37. John November 30, 2020

If I make on one of those my cats won’t go in it, but if you just leave a random box around they go in it…..same goes for a piece of black paper, I leave a white sheet on the floor, nothing, I leave a black piece of paper and they go sit on it for 2 hours. Since I 2 cat towers maybe I’ll augment them with cardboard facades, hmmmm.

  38. Eve Smith November 30, 2020

I love them, but my cat would not go in. He doesn’t use the store bought cat condo.

  39. Anonymous November 30, 2020

I mean, if you want to concern yourself with source credibility, great, but maybe think about lowering your expectations for a website called sadanduseless.com

  40. Not Karen November 30, 2020

Anything to bitch. I’m sorry you caught the Karenovirus-20

  41. Anonymous December 1, 2020

My kitties need a sniper tower.

  42. Anonymous December 1, 2020

I’m going to make some of these…the cats will 💗

  43. Anonymous December 1, 2020

Sad and Useless – the most depressive commentators on the internet. Well, not all of you. LOL These forts are amazeballs!

    Very cute !

  46. Suzanne December 2, 2020

Boy you must have a big house for all those castles. Great job!!!

  47. Christine December 3, 2020

I looked at the many, many houses built for the cats and I think it is wonderful that the people who take care of the cats are indulging the kitties. Very cute! Lucky cats.

  48. Meg December 3, 2020

Love this! Thank you for some levity!

  49. Neil December 3, 2020

Nearly all of the impressive looking castles date back anywhere from 3-6 years or more – nothing to do with Covid. The quickly slapped together “box with a hole or two” come back as unique in reverse searches, suggesting they are probably new.
