Taxidermy Chicken Lamps by Sebastian Errazuriz

Sebastian Errazuriz is Brooklyn-based designer known for exploring themes of life and death… at least according to his Artsy profile page. According to what we see, he really likes to stick lightbulbs in the butts of dead chicken. Each of these creations are one-of-a-kind, they are for sale, but the price is not disclosed. Probably some eccentric rich guy who’s looking for new lamp for a ranch will buy them…

Is it art, or is it something that you would find in a dumpster? Let us know in the comments!

  1. ….art, albeit, not my taste. This is creepy…. it reminds me too much of Hut-hut, the home of the Slavic folklore witch, Baba Yaga. Her home, AKA Hut-hut, had chicken legs and the house would prance in circles on its chicken legs. Creepy!

  2. Call me when its a battery powered chicken robot lamp, which follows you around the house.

  3. as a country woman , i have processed a lot of chickens in my life. to think of the fortune i have buried in the ground. it never occurred to me someone would decorate with stuffed chicken.
