   Taking these photos must have involved a most considerable amount of pain, for we can safely assume that she is not happy with her body at all.

   She is confronting herself and also us…… and what could be more ART than this?

3. I would definately say that it Is art. It is creative, innovative, original, thought provoking, conveys an idea / message. It ticks all the boxes of textbook definitions of art. Personaly I find it very touching. A wry and ironic look at how she experiences her body.

10. Wow. I have no idea what to think. On one hand, I think it sends a great message about body shame and vulnerability, while adding humor. But to answer the question about whether this is art. Well, I suppose it expresses lots of emotion so it’s art in that sense, but this is certainly not typical art.

11. It is art. It is very good art.
    You don’t (well I didn’t) laugh at the pictures because, although they could be funny, she has used, what some might see as, poor attributes and very basic props, and skilfully and successfully surpassed the comedy aspect with intentional emotional strength.
    Very few celebrity artists or actors could have done that without becoming a laughing stock. Respect & Well done Lui.

22. She is a super, amazing artist! Her compositions are fantastic and her humour is off best and just brilliant. So droll. Totally surprised that whether she is an artist is up for debate at all. If you can’t tell just by looking at her work…then look at who collects her pieces and her qualifications/exhibitions. That might give you a clue. Day made by discovering this woman’s photos.

24. 1st off, someone wrote that she must be unhappy with her body. Someone who is unhappy with their body wouldn’t be taking all these pics & putting them out there for people to see. The only way we would ever know if she is unhappy with her body is if she says so. I’ve met & heard of people that are super heavy, even a lot more than this woman, but they think they are sexy. So we don’t know.

    Are they fun weird pics to look at? Yeah. Are they considered art? If she believes it is, then yeah. Art is considered art when the person creating it calls it art. Will there be people that jump & try to sound sophisticated & say, “of course its art!”? Of course they will! People are all too into things that 1 person calls art & another crap. Give your true opinion, don’t be a follower. That’s a clear thing she also did, she’s not a follower.
