Kerry Callen is a talented illustrator and book author who loves depicting the humorous adventures of the golden age Superman, his friends, and all the hijinks of their wacky universe. He calls this series of comics “Super Antics”, and they’re brilliant.
In Callen’s own words, “I had a dream where I was invulnerable and got a bullet stuck in my ear while confronting a thug. I thought it was funny and wondered if Superman ever had that problem. So, I drew a strip and named it “Super Antics”. I shared it on social media and people seemed to like it. I had a couple of other irreverent thoughts about superheroes and drew them too. It’s always fun to get positive feedback from people who like your work. Suddenly, I was in the habit of drawing “Super Antics” ever so often. Things kept occurring to me. It’s no doubt a sad statement on what my brain is saturated with.” That’s basically the story behind the origin of this comic series.

Just found these today and they are hilarious. Kerry Callen’s humor is fantastic and I love the old-time style of his artwork. The artwork style takes me back 50 years to the comics of my childhood but the humor is spot on for today’s style. Keep up the great work!
