This is just like that “Smile” movie, except instead of being possessed by a malevolent force bent on unspeakable violence, Harold’s body has been taken over by someone from middle management reckoning with the existential despair of a man who finally understands that his life is nothing but a long sequence of disappointments ending in death, yet still feels eternally compelled to smile out of politeness.

    “Dead Eyes” was released straight to DVD, but you can still find it occasionally being sold off a sidewalk in remote markets across the world.
