I come home from work every day and the first thing I do is kiss my wife. I ask her how her day was. I try to help her with any housework that’s left unfinished by the time I get home. I show an active interest in her life, her friends, and what she wants to do and say. I try to keep up my appearance even though we’re married and I behave in public. I try to avoid interacting too much with other women if I’m with her because I don’t want to offend her (regardless of the innocence of said interaction). I don’t make everything about me. In fact, all of the dating tips for women posted her (aside from the brazier/girdle etc) I already follow because it’s common decency and shows I respect my wife enough to not act a fool in public and embarrass her.

Should she not do the same for me? Oh wait.. I forgot.. I’m a dick… and she shouldn’t have to put up with my shit.

Dressing up, acting a certain way, and trying to avoid situations that make your partner uncomfortable just makes you a GOOD DATE. It shows you actually give a shit about him and how he feels. But it goes both ways and this only applies if he’s doing the same for you, ladies. It’s not sexist, it’s not feminist… it’s reality.
